It all started with one Sasha doll. In the late 60s, asked my mom for a Sasha doll I saw in a high-end toy store in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. I wanted the Dark Haired Sasha Boy doll. Instead she surprised with this cute blonde baby doll.
She probably thought I did not need a boy doll. Little did she know, she had purchased a blonde baby sexed boy. Many years later my own daughters never like the doll, but he did get played with from time to time by visiting children. My friend's baby above, goes right for that baby doll when she comes to visit. Her favorite toy at our house along with the teddy bears.
Fast forward to this year, 2016, I told my husband about the Gregor doll I had really wanted and we searched the Internet to find one. Dark-haired Gregor arrived in February. Baby Gregor doll now had a big brother Gregor.
Not me, I swear! My husband saw a blonde-haired Gregor doll, that was being so sold at a low price because he was so dirty and forlorn. He felt sorry for the poor guy. When he arrived, husband went straight to work giving him a bath, and washing his clothes, and before you know it, he was like new again.
Within the same month, the "kids" gained a baby dark-haired brother and a dark-haired sister. This was when we probably started calling them our kids. Dark-haired sister was purchased from carolmc99_ on eBay who sent an extra gift of a beautiful, brand new handmade dress.
And another kid needed a new home. Poor thing, she arrived with her head falling off and her legs dangling. She needed major surgery. Husband, Dr. Kim to the rescue. He researched doll repair, and went to work. First photo shows her repaired and standing up on her own wearing a cute yellow dress tHAT carolmc99 on ebay sent free with the purchase of the dark haired Sasha. Highly recommend her.
Now this group of Sasha dolls was getting confusing and we decided they needed names. They could not all be Sasha and Gregor. Dr Kim named all the boys. I named the girls. Now we have Quinn, Morgan, Kyle, Kerwin, Keegan and Jarvis.
We were at a yard sales this weekend, and Dr Kim purchased a skateboard for 25¢ for Quinn.
Quinn is a Sasha Gregor schoolboy doll, who is happy to have shed his school uniform. He is going to be a homeschooler unschooler from now on. Free to play all day outdoors.
Quinn took his two baby brothers, Keegan and Jarvis, out to play on the swing.
It all started with a free adult trike on Freecycle given to me by a sweet friend, Andrea Sweet. Yes, her name really is Sweet. The trike had 3 flat, rotted tires besides the rust, so I stored it in the lean-to until I could replace the tires. I had no intension of doing anything else to it. The rust didn't bother me. Years went by. Then along came Kim, another sweet person, we fell in love with each other and got married.
Out came the trike, and Creative Kim went to work happily like a kid with an erector set back in the 1950s. He took the entire bike apart, and just like a kid, he had the pieces everywhere: the front porch, the screen porch, the old goat pasture and inside the house. He sanded all the rust off, primed, painted and sealed every part. The end result is amazing! Recycling at his finest. Project time: 4 Days. Thanks to the Bicycle Center of Port Charlotte for your time and advice.

The completed rebuilt trike in bright green, blue, purple and some touches of yellow and red.
It was such a lovely morning we had breakfast on the patio. Two of favorite cereals, Kashi Organic Promise and Newman's Own Flakes and Strawberries with the only kind of milk we will buy, Organic Valley whole milk.

Kelly worked her first day back at Worden Farm since we returned to Florida.
She came home happy and healthy-looking. Some of her Florida tan came back today. Dirty feet, happy, tired, and munching on Zucchini bread, Kelly plopped herself on the couch.
Worden Farm feeds their workers with fresh organic produce they grow there. So the noontime meal is better than any restaurants around here. Today's faire was Tai food.
Another work benefit: organic veggies, herbs and fruits.
